Edison 40 watt squirrel cage filament style bulbs

Received the shipment (undamaged and intact) of a 4-pack of these bulbs, and the packaging was excellent with each bulb in bubble wrap inside an individual box with the 4 individual bulb boxes contained in a master carton.
As far as product quality, as noted in other reviews, these bulbs are perfect for accent lighting, not main room lighting. They emit a soft warm amber light accentuated by the squirrel cage style look of the bulb filaments.
These are dimmable, meaning they can be used with a rheostat switch. I use mine in a cylindrical clear glass lamp that has three switch settings – low (10w), medium (25w) and high (40w), and use it almost exclusively at the 10-watt level.
As far as heat, they get just slightly warm as one would reasonably expect, not hot as is the case with some other brands. In summary, think of these as nice additions to your lava lamp since the lighting ambiance effect is in a similar vein.

These are great!
These are easy on the eyes to look at, compared to the Big Box stores LED Edison lights that blind you!
They emit a nice amber glow undimmed. These are made to be seen.
I am going to put them on a dimmer for my application, for a greater amber effect.
The bulbs themselves have a clear-ish shell, not the amber shell pictured, but dimmed, should have that effect.
These vintage Edison light bulbs are built with an attractive squirrel cage filament design living up to their name, compared to the one or two elements lights elsewhere. The designers of these bulbs took the time to make a nice Edison bulb.
Also, you will pay three times the price at big box stores for non-authentic bulbs.
I normally don’t write 5-star reviews, but in this case, they earned it all the way around. Certainly, I would like to see this company stay in business. I also like the Customer Satisfaction card included in the package; knowing they stand behind their product.
